KAUMARBHRITYA DEPARTMENT
Kaumarbhritya is branch of Ayurveda dealing with the care of the child from the time of conception till the maturity. It focuses on all aspects of nursing and healthy upbringing of newborns, infants and children by holistic approach for better progeny and society.
Kaumarabhrtya also includes the treatment of women from the beginning of pregnancy until cessation of breast feeding.
Kaumarbhritya deals with acute and chronic issues (diseases related to digestion, respiration, fever, developmental delay, bed wetting, and skin diseases etc). Cerebral Palsy and ADHD are also treated here. Treatment includes various medications and Panchkarma therapies.
Kaumarbhritya also provides an important immune booster for the children, known as Swarnprashan. This is given to the children on every Pushya Nakshatra.
